To use cage to introduce a new queen, fill exit hole with queen candy, find place in brood chamber with both open cells and bees ready to emerge, release queen and attendants into the cage, and stick the cage to the frame in the selected location. Insure the only adult bees in the cage with the queen are the nurse bees that came with her. When she starts laying she will release her pheromone that will gain her acceptance from the colony. Temporarily remove one frame from the brood box so there is room for the bees to service the queen.
